The break-up album. A sequential "concept" album with a beginning, an ending, and all the crap in between.
Written mainly from 1999-2000 with recorded parts stemming from 1999-2005. Still "unfinished" by my standards - i wanted a range of guest musicians adding piano, strings, horns, etc and then I wanted to take most of standard gtr/bs/drms out of the mix, leaving an almost This Mortal Coil vibe.
Originally this was to be the 3rd A Gold Star Secret album (Bon - the other half of Gold Star - even had a song called "Dead Love Song") but he ended up taking his part of the album, adding to it and releasing it as The Baby Bees, so this ended up my "solo album".
This is the first time any of these recordings have seen the light of day. Most everything is recorded on a 4-track, then stuff added and mixed (roughly) on a Mac. Like I said - i still think it as unfinished.
